BODE roofs are characterized by their lightweight construction, exceptional durability, and customer-specific design options.
Our BODE roofs are manufactured entirely from aluminum alloys using MIG and TIG welding processes. The roof construction is based on aluminum profiles or bent sheet metal depending on the intended use and load. The lightweight aluminum construction ensures high rigidity. Special ceramic coatings protect against holes caused by flying sparks from overhead power lines.
Precise interfaces facilitate the installation of the pantograph. The roof surface is covered with a five-layer paint system (according to customer specifications) to provide long-term corrosion protection. The inside can be fitted with damping material, and the outer surfaces can be designed to be non-slip. The roof is supplied either as a finished structure for the integration of electrical equipment or as a ready-to-install structure for the locomotive body.
